The Day the Fog Rolled In

Anna has never been to Chicago, but she now knows what its like there after having lived through a fall in Florence! Man talk about weather variance. We get pretty much every type of weather you can imagine here. Summer gave us significant humidity and high temps, early fall brought thunder storms and occasional rapid changes in weather that brought high winds and heavy rain, and now as winter is upon us we have seen yet another great contrast in weather. From mid November to early December we experienced everything from heavy rain, to temps that dropped into the high 20’s (With highs only reaching the mid 40’s) to heavy “London Like” fog. The fog was the highlight for me (I have enjoyed the brisk cold weather too) as it brings a magic to the city that shrouds it in a bit of mystery. As an amateur photographer, you pray for this type of weather as it makes black and white photos seem like something out of a mystery novel. In So Cal, we have about as good of year round weather as anywhere in the world, but I must say that having four full seasons for one year is pretty cool.
